😠 Network Solutions is a horrible company with even worse customer service and antiquated technology. Research all other reviews about it before considering doing business with it. Also, Network Solutions acquired my previous registrar provider. I never set up an account with Network Solutions, nor was I ever made privy to its acquisition of the previous registrar provider. When Network Solutions assumed my, it set up the account with an unknown email address. To change the account to reflect the correct account information, Network Solutions “had to send an email verification to the email address on file.” It did this despite 8 days of messages, emails, and telephone calls, all of which included extraordinary requirements of information, such as bank statements, and driver license. However, what Network Solutions did not disclose is that the extraordinary requirements had to be copied a certain way. 😠 Very deceptive in how they sell their products. When I called to renew my Hosting Package, the Sales Rep lied and told me he was setting up the renewal, when he was instead charging me for a brand-new package (that I didn't need), so I ended up having to purchase a second package for more money to get the renewal. When I tried to get a refund for the duplicated services that I didn't need, my appeal was denied, and the 'manager' denied the request for refund. These people are terribly dishonest and will lie to you straight-faced to make a sale on product that you don't need. There are much better companies out there that charge a lot less. Network Solutions is horrible, dishonest company... shop around!!!

😠 I would rather have given a zero than a one. I have just tried to transfer a domain from networksolutions to another registrar. Because the domain hosted my primary email, I changed my email details to avoid problems with any transfer, and then proceeded to get an authorisation code for the transfer which they duly gave me. Having given me the authorisation code, they then told me that my account was locked for 60 days because I had changed my registratnt details. They could have given me the option to over-ride the 60 day lock (according to ICANN), but didn't. Result, despite complaining to networksolutions and ICANN, I have to wait 60 days because networksolutions use 'sharp' practice and ICANN cannot intervene. The real feedback, is don't use these sharks.
The best of it was, my domain was registered for the next two years, so they aren't even hanging on to the domain for financial gain. It's just them being petty and vindictive.
