NS used to be a great company but they have gone downhill over the past few years ... to the point where we were forced to use another, more reliable, company to host our business site but we have been using them for email service. 2 or 3 years ago, they "upgraded" thier mail servers and were down for a couple of days and had high latency (slow or non existant) email service for about a week after. Lot of glitches since but our upper management wanted to stay with them for some reason. Now, NS is doing "more maintanence" on the servers and we have been having serious issues again with the email for the past few days to the point where we can't even receive mail now. Of course, when you call customer disservice, you usually get someone in an outsourced call center and cannot do anything except read a script. If you try to talk to an engineer, you can't. The rep can only escallate the issue and either the case will get fixed or closed, whether it's fixed or not necessitating another call. If you don't rely on email or webhosting for your business, then I guess NS would be a choice but when you weigh the price for the "service" against the dollar value of business lost, it's not such a great value. I'm sure we will be moving soon!
