😠 re-invent.com is terrible
This guy (re-invent.com) farms it out to a server farm. Support questions goes unanswered, job tickets get deleted, server/mail server inconsistent at best, double/tripled billed, if you complain they threaten with lawsuits or send threatening emails. Who does that?. Think about it, there are so many consistent negative reviews about re-invent all should come to same conclusion - they suck. So many negative reviews that they are trying to change their name to "Adaptive Hosting". I wonder why?

😠 Failure
Being quite excellent in the past, considering the low price, the service has degraded on a dramatic level.
Our server based email if having delays of up to 18 hours, so we had to detour all outgoing email via our IP provider and tell everyone NOT to use the re-invent based email.
We wanted to do the same for INCOMING email, but for that Re-Invent would have to actually answer our tickets. Now we are stuck with NO service, NO proper incoming email, and an automatic message from the server that the domain size limit has been reached (we have a 5000 limit from which we use just 38), and even the email is lower than 5% of the limit.

Crap service!

And we cannot even detour the email.

😠 Going downhill fast -- sinking ship! Don't be the last one standing!
Re-invent.com was very good in the beginning. Support used to respond to emails within an hour or two. However, during the past year, support is non-existant. If you ever receive a reply, you are considered lucky. Most of the time when you submit a ticket, you never ever get a response. Their so-called "24/7" support means that no one will respond in 24 hours or 7 days days.

Their web server is now crashing on a weekly basis. There is no one monitoring their server whatsoever. Their servers can go down for a week at a time, and no one over at re-invent seems to notice!

Half of the control panel functions are now corrupted. I can't even create a new mail account.

I honestly believe that the person who was running re-invent is either running from the law or has died. Someone needs to call 911. When you call their tech support number, someone answers the phone and then hangs up on you. I gave up and left them a month ago.

😠 You ain't reading this wrong but I got a reply that says "FRAUD LOSER" from them
To keep it short, story goes like this, due to their horrible services like everyone else is experiencing, I decided to terminate my account with them, send them emails, tickets upteempth times but I never get a single response. In the end I had to cancel my credit card and request for a new one. Today I received an automated billing email from them again, I replied the email with 2 words "Fraud company" and guess what? They replied me with caps, "FRAUD LOSER". What a company. Hopeless. Anyone knows if there's a channel to file such business complaints? Thanks, I am not from the States.

😠 Don't Re-Invent !
From the date of my initial excitement at getting a brand new host I have suffered nothing but disappointment.

If you need a host which offers some support and advice (and you might not think you do, but believe me, things can go wrong) then don't bother with ReInvent. They don't do support !

My website is slow to load and the control panel is clunky and lacking. Only the support site is good but you won't usually get a response. In fact if you submit a ticket it is often just deleted, you're lucky if you get an email within a week - I mean WTF kind of service is that ?!

The prices and packages look good but you'll kick yourself and regret it - like me :(

😠 I totally agree with Esther Ahern. Re-invent.com is terrible. Get away from them as quickly as possible and don't even consider them. I've been with them for at least 5 years. The last 3 to 4 years has been a nightmare. Help Desk tickets disappear immediately. Servers down at least 6 times in the past 3 months. They say they have 99% up time. Nope. If they try and say otherwise, I have documented screen captures ping reports. Even their own site was down during these periods. 99% of the time they won't respond to a ticket item even if your lucky enough to get a ticket through. And they always say it's your fault. No matter what? If you complain, they threaten you with a lawsuit and/or will lock your site down. They farm their services out. They don't have their own facilities. They lie. They host spammers, so your emails may/will be rejected from certain ISP. Also, their SMTP servers are slow. Notice on their site, they don't date their reviews. Suspicious? Thanks for the great product Re-invent! The superior support I have received from Re-invent is a dream come true. They usually respond to my questions in less than 15 minutes. 😠 A billing nightmare
I cancelled my hosting in the fall of 2010. Since then, they have taken 3 quarterly payments of $68.85. from my checking account. I've protested every time and have the emails to prove it. They refunded 1 deduction in March 2011 and turned around and took another payment in June.

1st cancellation:Oct 2010 Neglected to save the comnfirmation email.
2nd cancellation: Dec 2010 Cancellation Request Confirmation - Cancellation ID #1790
3rd cancellation: Mar 2011 Cancellation Request Confirmation - Cancellation ID #1856

😠 Re-Invent-- did you notice something wrong below?
As I read the reviews below I noticed that someone posted a "5 star" review of the company, but was responding to another review....OOOPS!! It appears that Re-Invent had been posing as positive reviewers for themselves!!

Tell you what-- my experience was simple: average uptime (tended to go down at least 3 times a week for a few mins at a time, usually in the dead of night; right when a critical web service was running for me, unfortunately), average price, terribly customer service. I also experienced dropped support tickets, could never get help on the phone, and to be honest with you, the Control Panel just looked incomplete and didn't work half the time. Net result? See ya leter re-invent! Run from these guys...and from what I've seen...it probably is only one or two people.
🗨 Person is very confused if really a customer at all.. OOPS!!:

1. Down 3 times a week is completely false. There hasn't been any downtime at Re-invent period. Microsoft does release security patches every month and we must update servers to keep them secure. We know thats rsare for a shared host but we do it here.... Updates are done during off hours if necessary once a month.

2. Average Price? We're at $3.95 per month how much cheaper would you like it?

3. Could Never Get Help on the Phone? We don't offer telephone support and haven't offered telephone support.

4. Control Panel Incomplete? Well its developed by Microsoft and we receive constant praise on its speed, features and never having any issues.

Take these anonymous and false reviews for what their worth which isn't much.

Currently, we have no support. Even tryed forum. Nada.
Never had this situation before.

😠 I cancelled my account with Re-invent in Oct 2010. They have billed me on 2 successive quarters since then. I have repeatedly sent emails to them disputing the charges with no response whatsoever. My bank tells me that the only way to stop the bleeding is to cancel my debit card. Do not use Re-Invent no matter what they promise you.

😁 If you're looking for a low-cost feature-rich ASP.NET host, you will not find a better value than re-invent. Optional features are incredibly affordable, like SharePoint. The uptime is excellent. In over 8 years of hosting my clients' sites, we've NEVER had any unscheduled downtime or any maintenance related downtime outside of the normal maintenance window. Re-invent is very low-cost and doesn't pay an army of people to maintain support help desk lines, so support is mostly via e-mail. All tickets are handled promptly, but you need to make sure that your spam filters aren't catching their e-mails or you might miss them. This actually happened to me, and I mistakenly thought their support was ignoring me, which wasn't the case. I will say that in all the years of using Re-Invent, my only help desk tickets have been issues on my side; not Re-Invent's. Use these guys with confidence.

😠 First, I will say that re-invent often responds to complaints with claims like "we are the lowest price" and "100% up-time", so I will address these first.

The fact is, they are the lowest cost ASP.NET host out there, undeniably. However, it is true you get what you pay for. If you are looking for cheap hosting, look no further, I fully endorse Re-Invent.com. If you believe that computers are flawless and nothing ever goes wrong, host with re-invent. But in reality, things happen and when you need support you can not count on re-invent.com. I recently commented on the lack of a working telephone number for re-invent and was told "phone support is just too costly for the pennies we charge for hosting" which may be true, but when you need it, you need it. This is why I am happily leaving re-invent for hosting that costs 3 times more than what I am paying re-invent. I suggest they consider a pay for phone service option.

🗨 We're not sure what upset this customer so much as he was provided great service for a number of years.

Customer site was never down due to any issue with us. We provided 100% uptime in the 4 years he hosted with us. All issues he submitted tickets over involved problems with his application. Known problems.

All support tickets he submitted over the years were responded to quickly and with courtesy. We have them all in our system. There was never a time in the 4 years that would cause him to think we didn't provide any support to him.

Re-invent has been in business for 12 years now and counting and employees several people. If you submit a ticket at the same time everyday its quite possible you'll receive a reply for the same person assigned to this account. I personnally eal with many large companies with thousands of employees and typically always talk to the same person.

😁 We find it pretty astonishing that after "several years" of not 1 issue and 100% uptime, this customer says we suck after having 1 very insignificant issue that we resolved for the customer once he actually brought it to our attention. The customer kept typing in www.shevchenko.re-invent.net and we kept advising him that the URL wasn't correct and was in fact shevchenko.re-invent.net and has been that way for several years. After he realized this he edited his web.config which caused another separate error. We researched the error message and told him how to correct this issue. We-Hosting-Top.com had no influence in this whatsoever and is some scam site run by competing web hosts. They validate nothing and check none of these reviews. Its a free for all.

😠 The application ran for several years then recently was moved to another directory and is now not working for several weeks.
Support insists that it works but if you try it at:
http://shevchenko.re-invent.net/Query.aspx you get a Server Error.
The support really sucks; when they do answer it's in two or three words. No help at all.
I asked for a refund and cancellation but they refused, the reply: no refund after 15 days.
But they broke the application a month after renewal. I have since rewritten the application in VS 2010 and looking for a more reliable vendor.

😠 LOL-- threatened family members? Is that the best lie they could come up with? You know these guys are small potatos when they have to defend each and every little post about them with lies. Truth is no threats were made, they shut down my service after I complained and now are sending me love notes about threats I made. I replaced them with a better host in about five minutes flat and moved on with my life-- and here they're still sending me emails two days later. Professional of them, isn't it?

😁 In todays world you can't be too careful. After we told Reuben that there were no problems with the mail service, he decided to threaten family members of employees of the hosting company. After these threats were received, his hosting contract was immediately terminated and law enforcement contacted. This just shows the kind of place we are living in when people paying $7/mo makes threats over nothing then brag about saving $2/mo somewhere else. To the other Hosts: Good luck with this guy. You'll soon find out that the $5/mo isn't worth the problems he'll cause.

😠 So I hosted with them for a few years and guess what these jerks do? They decide to cancel my service because I was complaining about issues with their service.

There are WAY too many better options to test your luck with these guys-- and mind you, with GoDaddy, Winhost and others at $5 per month including SQL DB's, these guys are overpriced anyway. Oh yeah, with Discount ASP (the best IMHO), you can enter a coupon code and pay $60 for a year-- and they smoke Re-Invent.

So go ahead and respond Re-Invent-- you guys deserve every negative review here. And it wouldn't surprise me if you were the only ones writing these postive reviews. But who knows? Maybe you have one happy customer? Or two?

Bottom line everyone: avoid them if you can.

Their technical Response and Response time for the Website is great.

They answered all the problems with installing a huge Website and Database on time and accurately.

I have had no inducement to recommend them and my only Relationship with them is as customer.

😁 I can honestly say I was suprised, I recently converted my site to .NET using asp.net 4.0, ajax and sql server 2008, with quite a few custom user controls. I was apprehensive of how long it would take to get everything up and running; however I was suprised that within an hour or so after copying files and transfering the data everything worked the first time and setup was hassle free. 😠 Billing nightmares. Very hard to cancel an account, they will keep billing you. No live phone support for any issues.
If you really want to know how they will treat you, read their responses to other issues in this forum- never their problem and always "unreasonable" clients or competitors.

😠 I have just canceled all my accounts with them. The only friendly people they have are ones that work in sales not support. In the live chat that I only got to work because I told them it was a sales question, I was told that when canceling I would receive a refund for the months remaining because I had paid for a full year upfront. After canceling now they say since my site was never really down they where not refunding anything. I told them to keep the cash because they are going to need it. I have just switched to an excellent company that offers “Fanatical Support” and turns out that’s what these losers at Re-Invent where over scaling and re-selling to me in the first place. 🗨 This is in response to the less than honest and un-professional last post by "Chris"

We are very familiar with this former customer and has posted what turns out to be yet again false and / or misleading and incomplete information. This Customer was fully aware of the hosting contract that states that refunds for remaining months are only given if the web site experienced some sort of uptime problem with our service. If our network was down or servers were down and we couldn't meet our SLA agreement. However this customers sites experienced 100% uptime and had no issues at anytime. 😠 Like another reviewer, I've chosen not to reveal my name/email because I have reason to believe Re-invent will do damage to my site that they're currently hosting. As soon as I find another host meeting my needs, I'm switching. It'll be before my plan expiration date which means I'll lose my money, but it's for the best. No doubt about it. Re-invent's reply below is laughable at best. Their customer support is awful. Unbelievably rude and unfriendly. They'd much rather dismiss a problem (and/or give a totally wrong answer) than spend time diagnosing it. And as another reviewer pointed out, their customer support panel is FREQUENTLY down for DAYS at a time! (This occurs so often that I've lost count.) Re-invent if you think "only 8 or so people have something bad to say" and that you're "not doing too bad of a job" you're sadly mistaken.

😁 We understand we can't make everyone happy. But some of these comments are unwarranted and misinformed at best. We've been in business for 11 years now and if there are only 8 or so people that have something bad to say I guess we're not doing too bad of a job.. . We have had a 100% network uptime and 99.999% service uptime since 2004. Our staff is friendly and fast with an average response time of under 25 minutes.

Some of those posts are from people with viruses on their computers causing their sites to get hacked and nothing to do with us. But we can't explain that to them as everything is our fault in their minds. So they post that we're horrible for telling them that they have a trojan on their system that compromised their own site. Some of the other ones are from people we don't even know or have never been a customer. And I can place 1 or 2 others that are from a competitor posting comments.

😠 Re-INVENT has been a nightmare. Their staff seems to be friendly and responsive but after you pay they take several days to respond and they are not helpful at all. Actually their responses are sometimes very rude. They never answer their phone number and on average they take 2 days to respond to an email (all responses are just templates asking you to search the FAQ). Yes they are very cheap but you will pay the consequences. I don't recommend this company to anyone.

😠 The customer service was terrifying. They treat customers like they are not worth it. I am warning you their servers are not secure at all. They don't have the competent stuff to keep your websites secure. Once you login to your website panel to manage your site, somebody will have been there already doing funny stuff on your website.
