First, I will say that re-invent often responds to complaints with claims like "we are the lowest price" and "100% up-time", so I will address these first.

The fact is, they are the lowest cost ASP.NET host out there, undeniably. However, it is true you get what you pay for. If you are looking for cheap hosting, look no further, I fully endorse Re-Invent.com. If you believe that computers are flawless and nothing ever goes wrong, host with re-invent. But in reality, things happen and when you need support you can not count on re-invent.com. I recently commented on the lack of a working telephone number for re-invent and was told "phone support is just too costly for the pennies we charge for hosting" which may be true, but when you need it, you need it. This is why I am happily leaving re-invent for hosting that costs 3 times more than what I am paying re-invent. I suggest they consider a pay for phone service option.

100% up-time, yeah right, I have plenty of support ticket numbers and e-mails with support to prove I did not experience 100% uptime. In the 3 years I have been with them I have opened more than 20 tickets and will be happy to provide ticket number and emails to anyone who wishes to see proof.

My biggest complaint is the support department or lack thereof. The straw the broke the camels back is my latest round of tickets, that just get deleted, no response nothing. You go in to check the status of the ticket and it says it can't be found. I contacted the sales group via live chat and was told to enter another ticket, I did, guess what it was also deleted. I am up to 4 of these deleted tickets in the past 3 days. 276-1448809B-5DFE, 3B3-14479B24-0AAE, 002-14473141-2D63, 1D8-1445DC70-BDD1.

*Note* The next statement is pure conjecture.
They say in they are not a bargain basement company, but I have a hard time believing they are anything more than a 1 or 2 person company. I believe with some reasonable evidence, that they do not have they house there own servers, and that when I put a ticket in, they have to put a ticket into their provider.

The fact is that every support and every billing ticket or email is signed Paul B. Maybe there is 20-30 people working there and they just choose to sign everything Paul B, but I doubt it.

Final conclusion. Re-Invent is low cost ASP.NET hosting, they have no REAL Support. They hide behind their technology, and provide no realistic communication to the anyone inside the company. On my website I proudly display my telephone number, my email address, my mailing address etc, if a customer has a problem pick up the phone and call me. If a company is unwilling to list a phone number, I suggest you find another company that does. If they hide from you when you want to buy there service, don't expect them to be easy to contact when you have a problem. I was with re-invent for many years. I have had numerous problems and kept with them for lack of desire to go through the hassle of moving, because they were so cheap and many other reasons, but I can not go through this any more. Any time I have an issue with re-invent they lack of support causes my blood to boil. If you are looking for hosting, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

We're not sure what upset this customer so much as he was provided great service for a number of years.

Customer site was never down due to any issue with us. We provided 100% uptime in the 4 years he hosted with us. All issues he submitted tickets over involved problems with his application. Known problems.

All support tickets he submitted over the years were responded to quickly and with courtesy. We have them all in our system. There was never a time in the 4 years that would cause him to think we didn't provide any support to him.

Re-invent has been in business for 12 years now and counting and employees several people. If you submit a ticket at the same time everyday its quite possible you'll receive a reply for the same person assigned to this account. I personnally eal with many large companies with thousands of employees and typically always talk to the same person.

Customer is trying to make you believe we hide our contact information. All contact information including, telephone number, email addresses, support addresses, Office Address and location are all post on our site on our Contact Us page which is linked to from every page on our web site.

It is true that we don't offer phone support and have no plans to. Manyt of the top ASP.NET hosting providers do not provide telephone support. If that is what this customer wants and is mad that we don't then he should just cancel and go to a host with Phone Support instead of trying to take it out on us and damage our reputation that we spent 12 years growing into what it is today, great support, great service, great features and all at very low prices.
