😞 Support is not so good. Luxsci provides some custom services and website configurations but support is variable. Trying to set up an email contact page and after a week of back and forth with tech support they appear clueless as to what the command is to send out an email.

They told me that I had to clear my server logs. Then after I found I didn't have permission, they then told me that I couldn't clear them: I had to submit a request to support to have them cleared. They kept me running in circles for a week with incorrect responses.

Some of my requests for necessary features have been pending for 2 years. I harass them monthly and still no answer.

Very fustrating to deal with. Their support people seem not to read the SR's and they just have old FAQ's with broken links.

😠 We use their secure forms service. Support and communication is terrible. They just try to hustle you to another tier service for more money. Stay away!!!

😁 Great for HIPAA compliance - powerful features. Does take time to learn all that it can do. Highly configurable. Their help techs are very knowledgeable. Their security is rock solid and for me they have delivered more than expected. If you want something with fewer features and easier to use, this is not it. If you want something powerful and you are an experienced software engineer, this is more for you.

LuxSci has been in business since 1999 and they are an internet service company dedicated to protecting web-based data. It has been established by Erik Kangas. The main focus of the company is to provide email or web hosting solutions for the healthcare system. Some of the companies for which they provide hosting are USAmeriBank, athenahealth or Southwest.

They offer a set of well-equipped online solutions:

Cloud Hosting;
Email Hosting;
Shared Hosting;
Dedicated Servers;
Domain Registration
DNS;
VPN;

Even if they have quite a variety of products, there are no virtual private servers or reseller hosting on display.

As their main focus is providing security on the web, they offer secure email marketing services that are of the highest level of HIPPA compliance. By using SMTP or API, they make sure high volume email sending is entirely secured.

Shared hosting runs on HIPPA-compliant platform. LuxSci works on fast optimized hardware including PHP, Python or Apache. In order to make sure your website is secured, they provide multiple firewalls for protection.

Dedicated servers are highly secured. Two types of servers are available: business class or enterprise/custom. Full-disk encryption, account isolation and backup are also integrated in both plans. If you choose to build your server configuration and choose the enterprise plan, you get server isolation with no public cloud servers, as well as multiple servers that come with it.

💰 Price & Cost

Some of their web hosting plans have specified prices whereas some prices are provided on request. From the set of prices they display, we can say that their plans are accessible.
Customers are not provided with any mention of a money-back guarantee, so there might be no possibility of a refund once a product is purchased.

⌛ Reliability

They promise redundancy and highly available network, as well as instant backups and restore options. They have a strong service level agreement, promising 100% uptime guarantee and 100% infrastructure uptime for customers interested in dedicated servers. For customers interested in the rest of their products, they guarantee at least 99.99% uptime.

LuxSci has two locations. The headquarters are located in Medfield, Massachusetts (USA) and their mail address location is situated in Westwood, Massachusetts (USA).

There are multiple channels to contact technical support. First, customers from the US can call on their toll-free phone number whereas customers outside the US can call on their international available number (unfortunately, not free this time). There are several e-mail addresses on which customers can solicit their help depending on the problems they encounter (whether administrative or related to billing, abuse or sales). Their emergency support is available 24/7 but standard support and sales & billing support follow a certain schedule. LuxSci also uses the ticketing system, so customers can use that for various issues as well. Moreover, LuxSci is also active on the following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn.

😠 Very bad, has three years use their email service, suddenly got disabled. Sent i tons of email never reply. Call them just waste your time....havent met the bad service like them.

I have two domains registered with Luxsci, as well as, web hosting and email. I have never had an issue with anything. The Sales Department was always helpful when I wanted to add or remove services it was done immediately. Tech Support is always very prompt in handling my tickets. I've checked out several companies before and LuxSci so far gets an A rating!

😠 Avoid Luxsci - Overpriced, No Service
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Lack lust features - impossible to run Joomla as they can not alter file permissions. Proprietary control panel is the worst. Support and sales policy are nuts - despite certified letters telling them to close accounts - they refuse and charge your account forcing you to pay. The worst company ever. Poor features, overpriced and total disregard for the customer.
