📅 - Atlanta-based Internet Security Systems, Inc. (iss.net) launched its new Proventia "all-in-one" protection product this week. According to the company, the device unifies firewall, virtual private network (VPN), anti-virus, intrusion detection and prevention in a single engine under one management system.
Proventia performs multiple security functions, blocking viruses, and combating unauthorized access, network attacks, malicious code, hacker exploits and threats like the SQL Slammer, Code Red and MS Blaster worms.
The company said the device eliminates the need for stand-alone security products like firewalls, anti-virus, content-filtering and anti-spam solutions.
