📅 - TeleCity (telecity.com), a pan-European provider of data center facilities headquarted in London, said today that The Association of the German Internet Economy (eco), a German Internet and e-business association, has chosen to locate at the new German exchange point DE-CIX-2 in TeleCity's Frankfurt data center facility.
"The implementation of the DE-CIX 2 in TeleCity's data centre is a perfect complement to our portfolio of colocation and connectivity services," said Bela Waldhauser, managing director of TeleCity Germany. "The presence of the DE-CIX 2 in our facility will increase our existing and future customers' confidence in choosing to locate at TeleCity Frankfurt, and will offer an additional secure and resilient location for DE-CIX members." The roll out of the DE-CIX-2 Internet exchange point in Frankfurt, the company reported, was the result of continued growth of Internet and data traffic in Germany. "I am delighted that eco has chosen to operate the new German internet exchange point DE-CIX 2 from TeleCity's data centre," said Ricky Hudson, CEO of TeleCIty UK. "This is a very prestigious and strategically important customer for us in Germany. The new facility is expected to be operational in December 2003. TeleCity operates nine data center facilities in six European countries.

📅 - TeleCity, Fujitsu Sign Agreement - Colocation and data center services company Telecity (TeleCity.com) announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with IT company Fujitsu (fujitsu.com) for the outsourcing of IT hardware, software and services.
