📅 - Colocation and data center services company Telecity (TeleCity.com) announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with IT company Fujitsu (fujitsu.com) for the outsourcing of IT hardware, software and services.
The agreement, which extends an existing relationship between the companies, will allow TeleCity to offer customers a single source for IT systems and infrastructure requirements. TeleCity says its existing and future customers will be able to purchase hardware and software solutions, such as access devices, storage, servers and network equipment, directly through Fujitsu, taking advantage of the company's IT systems expertise. The Fujitsu services initially available to TeleCity customers will include: IT Infrastructure consultancy, design and project management; delivery, configuration and installation services; recycling services compliant with current regulations; support for new and existing infrastructures; supply of Intel and Sun desktop and server technology; and networking equipment supply and support. "This agreement is a logical step for TeleCity as it enables us to offer a full range of IT systems and infrastructure services within our data centres," said Ricky Hudson, CEO TeleCity. "The partnership has been developed in direct response to our customers' growing demand for increased flexibility and choice of solutions - which build on our core expertise in the provision of high quality data centre services - without the hassle of managing a variety of supplier relationships."
