Jan 26, 2005 : Red Hat to Hold First Annual Conference


📅 - Linux distributor Red Hat (redhat.com) is holding its first annual conference for its community, customers and partners, from June 1 to June 3, 2005 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in Louisiana.

The cost of the conference is $999 and includes three nights' accommodation and all activities and conference meals. The first 600 registrants are eligible to win one of three free Red Hat Certified Engineer training classes, valued at $2500.
The event will feature keynote speakers, general sessions, breakout sessions, demonstrations and receptions. General sessions will be held each day of the conference and will be followed by in-depth meetings that focus on narrower topics. These include "how to" sessions on topics ranging from building a failover cluster to SELinux policy management; interactive sessions on topics such as performance optimization, Fedora Project, open source technology trends and high performance computing clusters; and in-depth discussions on issues shaping the open source computing industry, such as its role in government, international expansion and intellectual property.
