📅 - According to reports, Cisco (cisco.com) has acknowledged vulnerabilities in its Internetwork Operating Software that can be exploited to launch distributed denial of service attacks against certain Cisco routers.

The vulnerability reportedly affects Cisco routers configured for the Cisco IOS Telephony Service, Cisco CallManager Express, and Survivable Remote Site Telephony.
A free patch is available to fix the vulnerability.
Analysts say the Cisco hole could be a sign of things to come, as the router becomes an increasingly popular target for malicious attacks.
