According to the company, the new services combine the strengths of the security teams and network capabilities of both SAVVIS and Cable & Wireless America to create what the company calls the best value and broadest security services set from a hosting and network services firm. SAVVIS says it is introducing a set of 16 security products, divided into three categories: dedicated security services, including intrusion detection and prevention, managed network perimeter security, access and authentication and analysis; virtualized security services, including on-demand firewall and intrusion detection tools; and security consulting services, which include a set of security and compliance audits, code reviews, common criteria testing and systems design. "We built our reputation by delivering high performance technology services to the financial services industry - primarily real-time market data companies demanding the highest levels of security and 99.999 percent network availability," says Rob McCormick, chairman and CEO of SAVVIS.
