savvis.net logo📅 - Virtualization and automation software developer Parallels (parallels.com) has revealed details about its fourth annual summit held in Las Vegas, February 2 to 4, 2009, which will focusing on such hot-button topics as cloud computing, software-as-a-service, virtualization, automation and hosting.


According to a Parallels announcement, the highly anticipated two-day event at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino will feature in-depth product, technology and strategy sessions welcoming both technology and business professionals to furter their overall understanding of the industry. Attendees will be given the opportunity to network with the Parallels team, potential business partners and colleagues at sponsored meals, exhibitor areas and casual "night out events" in Las Vegas.

Planned by Ravi Pimplaskar, Parallels promises the event will allow business people to "gain insight how to take advantage of Parallels Open Platform" and IT professionals to interact with Parallels engineers, learn to use Parallels products and provide product feedback. Software engineers will can also learn about the Application Packaging Standard and how an application is packaged.

The Las Vegas event is a change of venue from the 2008 event held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC from May 19 to 20.
