Sep 25, 2008 : Organizers Postpone CloudCamp Event
📅 - IT event organizers Plum Communications (plumcom.ca) announced on Thursday that it has moved the date of "Cloud Computing an IT Paradigm Shift," (itcloudconference.com) the first cloud computing conference and CloudCamp in Canada.
Earlier this month, we reported that the one-day event would take place on November 12 in Toronto. However, Plum Communications issued a press release Thursday stating that the event has now been moved to February 11, 2009 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
In the press release, Plum Communications, which also produces Toronto's IT360° Conference (it360.ca), says that the new date will "allow for additional promotion time and fits in better with the industry's show schedules."
The event will offer "knowledge-based" seminars with round-table discussions between users and industry experts, spanning a range of topics including Cloud Computing - is it ready for prime time?; Assessment of Platform as a Service and Infrastructure Models; The Challenge of Scale; and Migration Risks and Rewards.
The conference will close with Canadas first CloudCamp, which according to the concept creator, Reuven Cohen, is an "open space-style, two-hour event providing a common ground for the introduction and advancement of cloud computing."
