Oct, 2003 : Digital River Signs Jasc Software for E-commerce

📅 October 14, 2003 - E-commerce outsourcing firm Digital River (digitalriver.com) said today it would manage the global e-commerce operations of Jasc Software (jasc.com), a provider of digital photography and imaging software. Jasc software is the maker of Paint Shop Pro, a popular photo and graphics editor.

Based on the agreement, Digital River recently built and launched a domestic e-commerce store, six international stores and three global OEM e-commerce shops to support Jasc's online sales and marketing efforts. Digital River said it hosts the e-commerce portions of these sites and also provides order and Value Add Tax (VAT) management, digital and physical software delivery, fraud prevention screening and e-marketing services.
"We are pleased with the opportunity to continue to host Jasc software in our online retail channel, and to expand our relationship with the company by managing its global e-commerce operations," said Joel Ronning, Digital River's CEO. "Digital River is in a unique position to support our clients beyond the build and launch phases of an e-commerce implementation... we plan to help manage and execute multiple e-marketing campaigns across Jasc's sites to ensure the company experiences a level of growth consistent with its business goals."
Jasc's international store sites offer services in five languages, including Dutch, French, German, English and Italian. Digital River builds and manages online businesses for almost 34,000 companies worldwide.
