📅 August 20, 2007 - Managed hosting provider Verio (verio.com ) announced on Monday that it is providing free Web hosting services to Xerox's (xerox.com) Let's Say Thanks program (letssaythanks.com), which gives the public a free and easy way to send postcards of encouragement and thanks to US servicemen and women overseas.

"Reliability, flexibility and a high quality of service are hosting 'must-haves' for any organization. By providing this service to the Lets Say Thanks program, we're putting the focus on the well-wishes, rather than the technology behind the program," says Kiyoshi Maeda, president and CEO for Verio.

Verio says its solution was custom-designed to meet the needs of the popular Web site, ensuring site visitors uninterrupted access to LetsSayThanks.com and providing Xerox with a highly efficient way to manage the site. The hosting solution includes a dedicated, multi-server hardware configuration and associated Microsoft SQL Server database as well as around-the-clock support including management of all hardware and software upgrades, security patch deployment and data backups.

All cards submitted at LetsSayThanks.com are printed on Xerox iGen3 digital production presses, then sent to military support organization Give2TheTroops for inclusion in care packages for US forces deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.

Last week, Verio said it will be holding its first annual viaVerio Partner Summit from September 20 to 21 at The Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
