Jan 22, 2009 : Pointivity Launches Partner Portal

📅 January 22, 2009 - Application hosting and managed service provider Pointivity (pointivity.com ) has launched a new partner portal site to provide sales, marketing and support tools and resources for its private-label hosted service resellers.

According to the company's Thursday announcement, the Pointivity Partner Portal (deliveritsmarter.com) will give partners around-the-clock access to resources such as marketing templates, sales guides, knowledge base, price lists, support documents and discussion forums to quickly gain in depth knowledge of the partner program.

"We've taken another step in the investment and commitment to our partner program," Pointivity channel development vice president Derek Cahill said in a statement. "The Pointivity Partner Portal frees up our own resources allowing more time for dedicated account management and putting together more go-to-market strategies for partners."

Pointivity said its Partner Program gives solution providers, VARs and MSPs the tools and resources they need to expand and deploy hosted solutions on a pay-as-you go service model. Partners receive private label solutions including a pre-designed storefront, an eCommerce checkout engine, and control panels, as well as a self-provisioning engine with integrated billing.

The company also plans to add more services to its provision engine, giving partners more opportunities to increase recurring revenue and customer retention.

A number of other reseller service providers have also recently announced partner portals in the past few months.

In November 2008, UK web hosting provider Aventure Host (aventurehost.com -> maxer.com) launched a new partner program that includes an advanced online partner portal and statistics monitoring features, letting web hosting customers and marketing professionals sell and advertise Aventure Host products in return for a per-sale commissions ranging from 10 to 20 percent.

Web hosting provider Verio (verio.com ) also recently revamped channel partner program and website, ViaVerio (viaverio.com -> hostinger.com), is made to be an online resource center, which also facilitates community interaction between partners.
