Feb 11, 2009 : Verio Plans Partner Summit for March

📅 February 11, 2009 - Hosting provider Verio (verio.com ) announced on Wednesday that its annual viaVerio partner summit will take place from March 15 to 17, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, Virginia.

Addressing the large group of participants in the company's viaVerio reseller program, the three-day event will tackle a variety of issues intended to help partners grow their businesses during a period of economic decline.

Specifically, the event will include technical an expert track featuring speakers from Microsoft, Trend Micro and Accrisoft, along with business, sales and technical tracks led by members of Verio's product management and senior leadership teams. It will also include a series of peer to peer roundtable discussions.

The event will also include an industry-focused keynote presentation by Liam Eagle, editor in chief of the Web Host Industry Review (let's be clear - that is me).

Key topics to be addressed by experts during the course of the event include search engine optimization, lead generation and virtual private servers and managed private servers. A series of "hot topic" sessions will cover cloud computing, SaaS, PCI compliance and other topics.

📅 Mar 16, 2009 - Verio Offers Partner Stimulus Package - Web hosting provider Verio (verio.com ) announced Monday at its partner conference in Reston, Virginia, that it has launched a "stimulus package" for participants in its viaVerio partner program. While the package doesn't seem to include the generous offering up of cash that defines the US government stimulus package this Verio offering is presumably referencing, it is a set of services designed "to help partners grow their businesses and secure new customers." 📅 Jan 28, 2009 - Verio Sales Executive Nominated for Award - Managed hosting provider Verio (verio.com ) announced on Wednesday that Steve Renda, senior VP of global sales and marketing for Verio, has been nominated as a finalist for "Global Sales Leader of the Year" at the 3rd annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service (http://www.stevieawards.com/sales/).

The news follows Verio's appointment in December, when the company named Gus Salamoun its senior VP of global service delivery.
