Interliant Offers Managed Messaging on Microsoft Exchange 2000 Platform


📅 - Interliant Inc. (interliant.com), a leading global application service provider, announced on Monday that had made available its Managed Messaging for Exchange solution. The dedicated server solution, powered by Microsoft .NET technologies, teams the functionality of Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server and Microsoft Outlook 2000 Server with the reliability of Interliant's hosted solutions.
The INIT Managed Messaging for Exchange solution is designed to provide Interliant customers with messaging and collaboration functionality quicker and less expensively than with an in-house system. Interliant says its hosted messaging solution reduces the time involved in implementation and testing.
The company says it also ensures the integrity and privacy of customers? data and applications with its security features and infrastructure. The security features, delivered from Interliant's globally distributed data centers, include hardware, application and network monitoring and reporting, backup and disaster recovery, and 24 hour customer support.
According to Interliant, the INIT Managed Messaging for Exchange is available in three offerings, including standard, advanced, and enterprise. The standard deployment is based on a 99.5% uptime Service Level Agreement for companies with 300 to 2,000 users. For companies with more than 2,000 users the advanced solution uses front end and back end server clustering to provide 99.9% uptime. The enterprise service includes customized features and add-on services such as unified messaging and custom designed Digital Dashboards. All of the services offer Outlook 2000 and Outlook Web Access clients linked to customer-dedicated servers.
According to analysts, with this new addition to its collection of services, the company is rounding out its enterprise-level messaging offerings, adding that Interliant is well positioned to gain a solid share of the messaging market. A recent Radicati Group report says this market is expected to grow to $6.63 billion by 2004.
