📅 September 22, 2001 - Syntellect Inc. (syntellect.com), a global leader inspeech-enabled customer, employee and supply-chain self-service softwaresolutions and hosted services, Thursday announced it will be hosting alocator service for 50,000 dealers of Motorola personalcommunication products and services.

"The dealer locator service provides our customers with another way to dobusiness with us more easily," said Marty Gilbert, Motorola's director ofNorth American consumer operations. "We receive a significant percentage ofcalls to agents asking for dealer locations. Since this is a relatively easyquery to automate, we implemented an interactive voice response system. Weexpect to reduce costs by having our live agents work on complex customerrelations issues and more selling to increase revenue."
Syntellect's Hosted Services Facility will connect prospective and existingMotorola customers to more than 50,000 retail dealers nationwide. Theservice is designed to provide callers with the locations and phone numbersof the three nearest Motorola dealers.
