👈 Official Responses: 0) announced on Wednesday that it has unveiled its new NTT/VERIO Enterprise Modular Hosting Solutions (EMHS) as the cornerstone of what the company calls significant enhancements to the company's dedicated and enterprise hosting offerings, including new product and service capabilities.

With an existing standardized line of more than 40 complex products and services, says Verio, the company allows businesses to quickly craft hosting configurations, deliver elements of their systems faster, upgrade easily and take advantage of a consistent level of customer support.
NTT/VERIO EMHS, says the company, lets customers build their server solutions on a selected operating system and application platform. The Solaris and Windows options include varying levels of load balancing, SSL accelerator, clustering solutions and Web, application and database servers. Managed hosting modules are constructed to include monitoring, security, administration support and backup and restore services, with advanced options available in each area.
In addition to the EMHS service and its related server solutions, Verio says it is releasing a range of other new offerings, including enhanced monitoring services, storage area network, hot database backup, SecureEntrance firewall and BackLink, a service that allows customers to use secondary network capabilities to transfer data between servers.
Customers with less complex needs are able to select from a list of pre-packaged configurations designed to fit their application availability risk profiles and budgets. Customers with more complex application business needs are able, through NTT/VERIO EHMS, to apply basic or advanced solution components to suit their specific hosting needs.
"Our standardized approach is much more efficient and cost-effective. The time it takes a company to select a hosting provider, assemble all the elements of its system, and then sign off on the tested site can cost organizations more than they realize," says Isabel Ehringer, president of Verio's Enterprise Hosting Business Unit. "With the NTT/VERIO simpler pre-packaged plans and more complex modular menu plan, a customer can select from certified, scalable options, drop in the additional components, add managed services, and be online much faster than crafting a system from scratch. In addition, as a customer's needs become more sophisticated, Verio has the platforms, products and solutions required to meet a company's increased business and mission-critical requirements."
