Aug, 2002 : IBM Canada Receives Cisco Partner Awards

📅 August 8, 2002 - IBM Canada Ltd. (ibm.ca) said on Wednesday that it received two awards from network systems developer Cisco Systems Inc. (cisco.com) during the Cisco Partner Summit 2002 in Orlando.

The awards given to IBM include 2001 Partner of the Year, Americas International and 2001 Best Overall Performance, Canada. The awards, says IBM, recognize another good year for IBM as Cisco sales doubled through efforts in key verticals like banking, insurance, manufacturing and retail.
"We're very excited to receive these awards from Cisco. This is the first time IBM has been awarded 'Partner of the Year for Americas International', and it's the second year in a row that IBM receives both the 'Best Overall Performance for Americas International and Canada'," said John Ostrander, director, Integrated Technology Services, IBM Global Services Canada. "Their recognition speaks to our strengths: Industry expertise and experience, all of which are delivered using the most innovative technologies.
