📅 - Internet security organization TruSecure (trusecure.com) announced this week that it has scheduled a free Web seminar, designed to educate healthcare organizations on how the company's investigative response services can help ensure HIPAA regulations are satisfied.
Entitled "HIPAA Investigative Response: What You Need to Know," says TruSecure, the Web seminar will take place Thursday, January 30, 2003 at 10:00 am ET and 12:00 pm ET. The seminar will address the healthcare's responsibilities in protecting customer privacy and securing corporate data, as required by HIPAA, and how TruSecure's HIPAA Investigative Response service provides unbiased investigation and helps companies meet requirements. Presenters at the seminar will include Bill Harrod, director of investigative response at TruSecure, and Marne Gordon, director of regulatory affairs. Topics covered during the presentation will include: escalation and notification procedures; preparing for an incident; fixing the risk and halting the spread; and specific real-world healthcare examples.
