Jan 27, 2003 : ICSA Labs Announces Q4 Certifications


📅 - Independent TruSecure Corporation division ICSA Labs (icsalabs.com) announced on Monday that it certified 21 IPSec, firewall, anti-virus, PC firewall and content filter products during the fourth quarter of 2002, that meet the organizations stringent testing criteria.

Companies added to the list of IPSec certified products include: FortiNet Inc., for its FortiGate 300 NPG; Intoto Inc., for its iGateway; NetScreen Technologies, for its NS204 and NS500; Nokia Corporation, for its IP530; Nortel Networks, for its Contivity Switch 1700; and Secure Computing Corporation, for its Sidewinder.
Added to the list of firewall certified products were: Check Point, for its Firewall-1 NG on Linux; Cisco Corporation, for its PIX Firewall Family; CyberGuard Corp., for its Firewall Appliance Product Group; FortiNet Inc., for its FortiGate Family; Intoto Inc., for its iGateway; Global Technology Associates, for its GTA family of firewalls; Jungo Ltd., for its Open RG Firewall; NetScreen Technologies, for its NetScreen Firewall Family; Novell Inc., for its BorderManager Firewall; Nortel Networks, for its Alteon Switched Firewall; and RIAS Corporation, for its GreatSpeed GS-1540G with the Ashley Laurent Firewall.
"ICSA Labs is the defacto standard for security product testing, and the commercial certification most required by corporate users," said George Japak, vice president of ICSA Labs. "The vendors who attain the ICSA Labs Certification hold themselves to a high level of assurance and the need to maintain a secure product over time."
