Feb, 2003 : First Fidelity Launches Internet Insurance
📅 - Brooklyn-based independent insurance agency First Fidelity Brokerage (ffbinsurance.com) announced this week that it has begun offering insurance coverage for Web hosting companies, e-commerce sites, community sites and other Internet related businesses.
Insurance policies, says FFB, can cover e-business interruption, third-party claims arising from failure of security, cyber-extortion, media liability policy and other Internet-related coverage. According to FFB, Internet related businesses seeking coverage can fill out a single application to receive quotes from a number of carriers. The company will quote e-business policies through a national wholesaler with nationally recognized companies including AIG, Lloyds and St. Paul companies. "Because we offer choices and discuss coverage's and exclusions for each policy, we can help our clients select the best coverage for the lowest premium," said Yefim Podokshik, founder of First Fidelity Brokerage.
