OVHcloud combines the reach of a multinational cloud platform with the vertically integrated engineering of a hardware operator. Public Cloud has developed into a broad OpenStack-based environment rather than a simple virtual-machine catalog. Compute instances and GPUs sit alongside Managed Kubernetes, Rancher, Private Registry, Block Storage, File Storage, S3-compatible Object Storage, Cold Archive, gateways, Load Balancer, floating IP addresses, and private networks. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Valkey are available as managed databases. Kafka, ClickHouse, OpenSearch, and managed Grafana dashboards cover streaming, search, and analytics. AI Notebooks, AI Training, AI Deploy, serverless inference endpoints, GPU systems, quantum emulators, and access to quantum processors extend the platform into scientific and data-intensive workloads.

Hosted Private Cloud serves customers that need dedicated virtualization and stronger isolation. Managed VMware, Nutanix, SAP HANA configurations, backup, and disaster recovery can be combined with physical resources. SecNumCloud-qualified environments address sensitive French and European workloads under ANSSI requirements. The On-Prem Cloud Platform carries infrastructure services, application platforms, IAM, self-service, automation, and observability into customer-controlled facilities. The worldwide storefront uses US dollars; local accounts can transact in euros, pounds sterling, Canadian and Australian dollars, Singapore dollars, Indian rupees, Polish zloty, Moroccan dirhams, Tunisian dinars, or West African CFA francs. The final cart is therefore more authoritative for a particular order than a converted price from another market.

Entry pricing remains attractive. A small Eco web-hosting configuration begins at roughly $1.04 per month in the worldwide catalog, and regular VPS service starts around $4.20 per month before paid options. Public Cloud is usage-based, while Savings Plans exchange a resource commitment for a lower predictable compute rate. Supported payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, PayPal, and an OVHcloud prepaid balance. Eligible European accounts may also use SEPA direct debit. Automatic renewal normally debits the default saved method, with prepaid credit applied first. Payment choices are not identical in every region, so customers should confirm both the initial charge and the renewal mechanism before placing the order.

No blanket money-back guarantee applies to the whole portfolio. An eligible private consumer can use the statutory 14-day withdrawal right on a new order. Consumed days are deducted pro rata, and reimbursement is due within 30 days. This right does not cover renewals or business accounts, and immediately delivered items such as domain names and Sectigo SSL certificates can require an explicit waiver. There is no single uptime SLA for every service. Regular VPS carries 99.9% monthly availability. Rise dedicated servers generally use 99.9%, Enterprise and Advance can reach 99.95%, and High Grade can reach 99.99%. Public Cloud Instances and Load Balancer can carry 99.99%, Discovery instances 99.95%, and storage services 99.9% under applicable regional contracts. A platform availability figure on shared hosting should not be assumed to grant the same remedy as a formal infrastructure SLA.

Compliance options include GDPR alignment, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, HDS health-data hosting, PCI-related controls, applicable SOC assurance, and SecNumCloud-qualified deployments. Certification alone does not make an application resilient or compliant. The customer remains responsible for choosing the correct location, availability-zone pattern, backup policy, encryption controls, and operating model.

✍️ Customer Support

Four service levels separate routine assistance from critical-account handling: Standard, Premium, Business, and Enterprise. Standard is included and expects considerable self-service. Premium raises request priority and adds help with initial adoption for non-critical environments. Business is built for production, while Enterprise adds a named Technical Account Manager, solution architects, follow-up governance, and proactive attention for key accounts.

Incident management operates around the clock, using English outside local business hours. Standard and Premium customers can use telephone and tickets during working hours, with live chat available for incidents. Business and Enterprise add 24/7 telephone and ticket handling. First-response objectives span approximately 15 minutes to eight business hours according to tier and severity. Datacenter infrastructure is monitored continuously, and technicians intervene automatically when hardware faults are detected, independently of the customer's commercial support package.

Self-service resources are unusually deep. The Help Centre includes a digital assistant, support tickets, technical guides, API documentation, service-status history, community forums, learning paths, webinars, and professional services. Regional sales teams follow their local working day rather than one global timetable. A production buyer should treat Business or Enterprise support as part of the architecture budget; the included Standard level is useful, but it is not a substitute for managed system administration or a dedicated engineer.

🔨 Control Panel

The OVHcloud Control Panel brings ordering, invoices, payment methods, renewals, account contacts, DNS, domains, mail, hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, cloud projects, monitoring, and support cases into one account. Depending on the service, it also exposes reinstall operations, console access, automated backups, snapshots, additional IP addresses, and network-security views. IAM policies can divide operational and billing responsibilities across a team.

Automation is available through the OVHcloud API, SDKs, command-line tools, Cloud Shell, and Terraform. Public Cloud also retains familiar OpenStack and Kubernetes interfaces, which makes scripted deployment possible without depending exclusively on the graphical panel. Shared hosting uses OVHcloud's own control environment with one-click application deployment. cPanel and Plesk are optional licensed images for compatible VPS and dedicated hardware rather than the default shared-hosting interface.

The unified account does not make every product behave identically. Domain administration, shared hosting, bare metal, and OpenStack projects each expose their own service modules and terminology. Technical documentation remains essential for contact roles, renewal behavior, IAM, private networking, billing, and multi-region design. Experienced administrators gain substantial flexibility; first-time users should allow time to learn the structure.

Complexity is the cost of that breadth. Regional subsidiaries use different currencies, payment options, catalogs, and legal terms. Availability commitments vary by range, no universal refund promise exists, and Standard support is intentionally oriented toward self-service. Customers must choose their location, backup policy, support level, and availability design deliberately instead of assuming that every product inherits the strongest specification in the portfolio.

Technically capable teams, bandwidth-heavy services, hybrid deployments, and privacy-conscious European organizations gain the most from the platform. Smaller customers can still obtain inexpensive web hosting or VPS resources, provided they understand renewal and withdrawal conditions. Critical workloads deserve paid support and a multi-zone or multi-region topology. With those boundaries accounted for, OVHcloud remains a mature, scalable, and credible alternative to both traditional hosts and the largest hyperscale clouds.
