*📜 Plan description
b3-256 in the General Purpose family on OVHcloud Public Cloud. Specs: 64 vCore CPU at 2+ GHz, 256 GB RAM, 400 GB SSD NVMe local storage, public network 16 Gbps, private network 16 Gbps max.. IPv4 address included. Displayed price converted from the hourly rate ($1.6262/hr) to a 30-day monthly estimate (1170.86/mo). Windows is available with a separate per-vCore license; Linux images are included at no extra cost. Use cases: web apps, dev/test, CI agents, micro-services, or small databases sized to the RAM/storage envelope.
OVHcloud Public Cloud instances are pay-as-you-go and billed by usage with no egress/bandwidth fees for instance traffic. Local disks are ephemeral to the instance; attach Block Storage for durable volumes and snapshots when required. Each VM includes DDoS protection and an IPv4, can attach to private vRack networks, and can be deployed in multiple US regions. Savings Plans, Managed Kubernetes, Object/Block storage, images and backups are available as add-ons. Prices and Windows license charges shown on the pricing page are per hour; for this report they were converted to monthly using 30 days x 24 hours.

📄 Editorial Review
OVHcloud combines the reach of a multinational cloud platform with the vertically integrated engineering of a hardware operator. Octave Klaba founded the business in 1999, and the brand is now held by OVH Groupe SA, a listed French company headquartered in Roubaix. Klaba resumed the combined Chairman and Chief Executive Officer position in October 2025, returning the founder to direct responsibility for both vision and execution. The Klaba family concert controlled about 79% of the capital at the end of 2025. Close to 3,000 people work across the group, with LinkedIn placing the organization in its 1,001–5,000 employee category.Approximately 1.6 million customers in more than 140 countries use an estate of more than 400,000 servers. Unlike a host built mainly from leased racks and third-party platforms, OVHcloud designs and assembles servers, constructs and runs datacenters, operates its fiber network, and develops its own cooling technology. That ownership across the value chain helps control hardware density, capacity planning, component reuse, network cost, and the physical jurisdiction in which data remains.
The catalog starts with familiar online-presence products. Web Hosting is grouped into Eco, Business, and Agency families for individual sites, commercial workloads, and multi-site administration. WordPress, Drupal, PrestaShop, and Magento can be installed through managed application tooling. Storage, databases, email, SSL, daily platform operations, and a first-year domain on many packages reduce the number of separate services needed for a conventional website.
Domain registration adds common national and generic extensions, including .com, with transfer, renewal, DNS, WHOIS, and holder-management tools. Hosted mail, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, SSL certificates, and CDN options complete the Web Cloud family. This arrangement suits customers who prefer one account for the domain, certificate, DNS zone, mailboxes, and website, although regional product names and entitlements can differ.
VPS instances bridge managed web hosting and physical servers. Regular locations include NVMe storage, a dedicated IPv4 address, IPv6, daily automated backup, monitoring, unlimited traffic under regional conditions, and a 99.9% service commitment. Snapshots, premium backup, external storage, managed databases, additional IP addresses, and Load Balancer are optional. Local Zone VPS service prioritizes proximity and data residency, but omits several features available in full regions, notably standard anti-DDoS protection, monitoring, additional IP, and Load Balancer. Linux distributions and application images are ready for deployment, with Windows available where licensing and location permit it.
The extensive Dedicated Servers range is still a major reason to consider this provider. Rise handles general workloads at an accessible cost, Advance is balanced for business infrastructure, Game combines fast processors with protocol-aware DDoS mitigation, and Storage favors high-capacity drive layouts. Scale targets dense compute and virtualization, while High Grade adds stronger redundancy and network capability for critical systems. Most ranges include public traffic, IPv4 and IPv6, anti-DDoS protection, private vRack networking, operating-system choice, and independent backup capacity. Root access leaves system administration with the customer unless separate expertise is purchased.
Public Cloud has developed into a broad OpenStack-based environment rather than a simple virtual-machine catalog. Compute instances and GPUs sit alongside Managed Kubernetes, Rancher, Private Registry, Block Storage, File Storage, S3-compatible Object Storage, Cold Archive, gateways, Load Balancer, floating IP addresses, and private networks. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Valkey are available as managed databases. Kafka, ClickHouse, OpenSearch, and managed Grafana dashboards cover streaming, search, and analytics. AI Notebooks, AI Training, AI Deploy, serverless inference endpoints, GPU systems, quantum emulators, and access to quantum processors extend the platform into scientific and data-intensive workloads.
Hosted Private Cloud serves customers that need dedicated virtualization and stronger isolation. Managed VMware, Nutanix, SAP HANA configurations, backup, and disaster recovery can be combined with physical resources. SecNumCloud-qualified environments address sensitive French and European workloads under ANSSI requirements. The On-Prem Cloud Platform carries infrastructure services, application platforms, IAM, self-service, automation, and observability into customer-controlled facilities. A single supplier can therefore cover an entry website, a Kubernetes service, a private virtualization cluster, and a hybrid system linked over private connectivity.
Targeted acquisitions have filled important software gaps. OpenIO joined in 2020 for object-storage expertise. In 2022, the ForePaaS founders and their 23-person analytics and machine-learning team entered the group. OVHcloud paid €28 million for Gridscale in September 2023; its hyperconverged technology became central to the faster deployment of Local Zones. Exten Technologies and BuyDRM were earlier additions, and the Dragon LLM acquisition in 2026 supports a new AI lab for specialized agentic systems.
The financial scale is equally clear. Revenue moved above €1 billion in fiscal 2025. The first half of fiscal 2026 produced a 40.9% adjusted EBITDA margin, the strongest since the stock-market listing, and third-quarter organic growth accelerated to 6.9% as Public Cloud grew by more than 20%. OVHcloud is consequently much larger and more complex than a conventional web host. That breadth is valuable, but customers need to distinguish carefully between product families, contracting subsidiaries, and regional conditions.
