CJ Website Hosting is one of the fastest web hosts in the United Kingdom. We compared web sites hosted by two well known UK web hosting companies with a site hosted by us using a "traceroute" tool. The following tests were made:
Number of hops
The more hops there are , the more potential points of failure exist between the user and the server.
Average Ping Time
Ping (Packet Internet Groper) is the length of time in milliseconds that it takes for data to get from the server back to the computer). The longer the ping time the longer it will take for pages to respond.
CJ Website Hosting produced faster results because we have servers located in London near the London Internet Exchange where most UK ISP's echange data with other ISP's and web hosting companies.
We also have an international presence allowing us to provide hosting in the US or Canada if the majority of your visitors originate from there.
Cost
The cost of our web hosting packages speak for themselves. We offer low cost, effective solutions for your hosting needs. So why the low cost? Well, thats simple - we want to reach as many customers as possible and to do that we feel we need to compete on price as well as quality (not something that is achieved easily).
Our Network
CJ Website Hosting has servers at four locations in three countries (UK, US and Canada).
Connectivity (UK - London)
We run a 100 megabit link to Clara.net, who are connected to LINX (London Internet Exchange) via multiple Gig'E connections. We are also connected to Easynet via a 100 megabit link, who are also connected to LINX via multiple Gig'E connections.
Connectivity (USA - Pennsylvania)
The network is connected via Gigabit/OC12 (1000/622 mbps) fiber connections to Commonwealth Telephone™ (CTSI™), NorthEast PA's 2nd largest Telco, and XO™ Communications (pending).
Verizon™ (Formerly Bell Atlantic PA) and PPL Telcom™, (a sub-division of Pennsylvania Power & Electric™ - PPL™) fiber is also available in the facility.
The network currently connects POPs (Points of Presence) in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, & Philadelphia, with others to be completed shortly. Transit is provided via Gigabit Ethernet (1000mbps) from Level3™ , BTN Access™ , Cogent™ , XO™ Communications , & Global Crossing™ (pending). For redundancy, BurstNET™ is currently running BGP4 (border gateway routing protocol) to maintain the speed and uptime. If one backbone line goes down, it will balance the load to the other(s). If one line gets congested, it will load balance the traffic.
Connectivity (USA - Virginia)
In Virginia we have servers on the Servint network. The ServInt backbone is connected through GNAPS (Global NAPs Networks) to several other locations including Equinix where it peers with major networks and has transit connections. The GNAPS backbone is an expansion of the backbone built by ServInt from 1997-2001. It has been expanded by GNAPS to operate on full OC-48 connections, and to include transit to UUNet and AT&T.
Connectivity (CA - Edmonton)
We have direct connections with Shaw and Telus. Each connection is 1000 megabits. Total connectivity is 2000 megabits per second.

Silver Package
The Silver package is aimed at websites that receive regular visitors, fansites, medium business' and people who want more than the bronze package, but don't think they are ready for the gold package.
Bronze Package
The Bronze package is a perfect starter package for site owners that are just starting out, small business' and blogs. The package still offers high amounts of disk space and bandwidth.
