Inherent, formerly known commercially as Adista, is a French provider of managed cloud infrastructure, hosting, telecommunications and cybersecurity services. Its history began in 1981 in Nancy, when brothers Gilles and Pascal Caumont established Réalisations Microélectronique et Informatiques, or RMI. The business progressively expanded from electronic and computer systems into hosted information technology. The Adista brand appeared in 2007, reflecting its development around IP services, hosted information systems and managed infrastructure. The legal operator remains ADISTA SAS, with its registered office in Maxéville, France.

The group adopted the Inherent name in December 2022. A further consolidation announced on September 30, 2026, brought Adista, unyc, Devensys Cybersecurity and Upper-Link under a common Inherent commercial identity. Adista.fr now redirects to inherent.fr, while existing contracts, subscribed services and established customer relationships continue through the transition. Keensight Capital (keensight.com), which became the majority investor in 2021, remains an investor in the group.

Acquisitions have considerably expanded the company’s technical capabilities and regional presence. Fingerprint Technologies joined in July 2020, followed by Waycom in February 2021. Equadex strengthened regional cloud and IT services in January 2023, while Upper-Link added Microsoft, data and application expertise in April 2024. Devensys Cybersecurity joined during 2025, and Systonic (systonic.fr) expanded sovereign hosting and managed infrastructure in July 2025. Inovacom followed in January 2026, with HP2i and AT Connect joining in September 2026.

Inherent employs more than 1,600 people and serves over 50,000 customers, with broader group totals exceeding 60,000. Its regional footprint encompasses approximately 43–45 agencies and sites, depending on the organizational scope. Revenue approaches €400 million in its September 2026 corporate figures. Customer, office and revenue totals differ between group-wide and narrower operational measurements, so they should not be treated as interchangeable.

Four business units organize the offering. Inherent Business serves larger SMEs, mid-sized companies, major enterprises and public organizations. Inherent Pro focuses on smaller businesses and local authorities. Inherent Cyber provides specialist security services, while Inherent Partners supports resellers and distributors. This structure gives customers several routes into the group, from smaller website projects to extensive managed information systems.

For hosting customers, a central product is Inherent Cloud Entreprise, a managed private cloud using shared physical infrastructure with logically isolated customer environments. Customers can select predefined vServer virtual machines, including Windows or Linux environments, or use vDatacenter resource pools for greater administrative independence. The service suits business applications, development environments and organizations moving existing server infrastructure into managed hosting.

Dedicated Private Cloud uses Nutanix clusters reserved for a single customer. The underlying servers, storage and network resources are dedicated to that organization rather than shared with other tenants. Operational responsibility can range from infrastructure management to operating-system and middleware administration, comprehensive outsourcing or joint administration. Customers can retain application control while delegating infrastructure operations, or transfer a broader workload to Inherent. Capacity expands through additional cluster nodes, and resilient configurations can span two datacenters.

Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud extend the portfolio beyond Inherent’s own infrastructure. Services include migration, interconnection, management and cost optimization across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud. Hybrid projects can combine customer premises, private cloud, public cloud and colocation. Deployment location remains an important purchasing consideration because French private-cloud hosting and international public-cloud environments have different geographic and contractual arrangements.

Inherent Edge places managed infrastructure closer to applications and users. Deployments can run on customer premises, in regional datacenters or in Azure. The service combines infrastructure installation, integration and ongoing management with self-service functions for virtual-machine provisioning, resizing, cloning, snapshots, scheduled backups and disaster-recovery activation. It is particularly relevant where local processing or application latency influences the architecture.

Managed Kubernetes, also associated with the KUMBA portfolio, supports containerized applications through three cluster configurations. Customers can begin with a smaller environment for less critical applications or move to multiple control-plane nodes and deployment across two datacenters. Higher configurations add endpoint protection, longer backup retention and DevOps assistance.

Managed GitLab complements these services with private instances, upgrades, monitoring, configurable runners and migration assistance. Instances can operate in French datacenters, on customer infrastructure or in Azure. Veeam backups support configurable retention, while integration with the customer’s internal network and directory services helps technical teams retain control over access to their development environment.

Healthcare Hosting centers on the Oppidom portfolio. Oppidom IaaS supplies infrastructure resources, Oppidom PaaS adds platform services such as databases and caching, and Oppidom KUMBA provides managed container clusters. Azure-based healthcare projects are also available. These services address healthcare establishments, medical software publishers and organizations handling regulated health information.

Backup and Disaster Recovery include Veeam Cloud Connect, off-site backup replication, object storage and DRaaS. Secure connections protect transfers between customer environments and the cloud. Recovery projects incorporate failover, failback and restoration testing, with backup policies and recovery architecture adapted to the importance of individual applications.

The group also offers conventional hosting through its Partners division. Web Hosting includes Web Giga, Web 5 and Web 10, with respectively 1 GB, 5 GB and 10 GB of storage. Packages include a domain, SSL/TLS certificates, IPv6 and daily backups with one month of retention. Website, email-account and MySQL-database allowances are unlimited, although the allocated storage remains a practical resource limit.

Managed VPS packages use Debian GNU/Linux and a managed LAMP environment. VPS Pro S includes 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 30 GB SSD storage. Pro M increases this to 2 vCPUs, 4 GB RAM and 50 GB SSD. Pro L provides 4 vCPUs, 8 GB RAM and 100 GB SSD, while Pro XL reaches 8 vCPUs, 16 GB RAM and 200 GB SSD. Monitoring, security updates and backups accompany the managed service. These packages provide smaller website and application projects with a more defined starting point than a customized enterprise-cloud deployment.

Domain Registration and Business Email cover domain transfers, automatic renewal, DNS management, web redirects and webmail. Business email supports encrypted IMAP, POP and SMTP access, with spam, virus and malware filtering and daily backups retained for one month. Partners can sell services under their own brand or use a distribution arrangement in which Inherent handles deployment and operational administration.

Cybersecurity combines audits, penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, identity protection, user awareness programs and incident response. Continuous monitoring operates through a French-based SOC. Network security services include managed SASE, web filtering, hosted FortiGate firewalls and endpoint detection and response. Organizations can also obtain assistance with security governance and compliance projects.

The wider portfolio includes Business Connectivity, Cloud Telephony, MPLS VPNs, fixed and mobile communications, Teams Telephony, SIP trunks, contact centers and SMS/MMS delivery. Microsoft services cover Microsoft 365 management, licensing, application modernization, business applications and data analysis.

Artificial Intelligence Services range from identifying useful applications and developing solutions to model supervision and GPU-backed deployments in sovereign infrastructure. Consulting, integration and training support the implementation and ongoing use of these technologies.

The commercial website operates primarily in French, without a complete English localization. News and corporate communications remain active, including the October 2026 brand consolidation.

💰 Price & Cost

Inherent combines usage-based cloud pricing with individually quoted infrastructure and managed-service projects. The complete cost depends on resources, resilience, licensing, backup requirements and the operational responsibilities assigned to the provider.

Cloud Entreprise starts at €6.20 excluding VAT per month for an Essentiel configuration with 1 vCPU and 1 GB RAM. Monthly service without a long-term commitment is available, while commitments of 12, 36 or 60 months provide decreasing rates. Storage expands in 10 GB increments, with volume reductions above 1 TB. This starting price covers a small compute configuration; storage, licensing and optional services affect the cost of a complete deployment.

Managed Kubernetes starts at €495 per month for C1, €675 for C2 and €975 for C3. C1 uses one master and at least two workers. C2 introduces three masters, endpoint protection, 15-day backup retention and one day of DevOps assistance. C3 spans two datacenters, adds managed endpoint protection, extends retention to 30 days and includes two days of DevOps assistance and a Service Delivery Manager. Workload sizing determines the final configuration and price.

Dedicated Nutanix infrastructure requires an individual quotation and principally targets larger deployments, including projects exceeding approximately 50 virtual machines. Partner web hosting and managed VPS services also use quotation or partner-led purchasing, making the selected sales arrangement relevant to the final commercial terms.

Veeam Cloud Connect includes a 30-day free trial. This trial applies to the backup product and does not establish a general refund entitlement for hosting services.

The April 2026 domain-service agreement normally requires payment within 30 calendar days of invoicing. Accepted methods include online payment cards, checks in EUR, direct debit and bank transfer. Foreign-currency payment requires an express request, with transaction or exchange costs borne by the customer.

Domain registrations rejected because eligibility requirements are not met can incur cancellation charges of 20% of the registration price, with a €10 minimum. Corporate customers have a two-month nonrenewal notice requirement, alongside a general 30-day notice provision. The applicable procedure should be confirmed before expiration. The domain agreement contains a Bordeaux registry reference, while ADISTA’s legal identification uses RCS Nancy; the signed contract should contain the correct contracting details. These domain-specific provisions should not be generalized to cloud services.

🏢 Data Center

Inherent owns and operates substantial hosting infrastructure in France. Its current group footprint comprises 16 datacenters, although some private-cloud specifications retain an earlier 14-site total. Customers requiring a particular location should confirm the facilities included in their selected deployment.

Locations include Paris and Île-de-France, Grand Nancy and Maxéville, Bordeaux, Saint-Étienne, Toulouse, Pamiers, Tours and Romans-sur-Isère. Expansion includes additional Bordeaux infrastructure during 2025 and further healthcare-hosting capacity.

Facility availability commitments reach 99.99% or 99.999%, depending on the datacenter. These figures remain separate from individual cloud-service guarantees.

Cloud Entreprise Essentiel provides a 99.90% SLA, single-datacenter operation, an RPO of up to 24 hours, a four-hour intervention target and an eight-hour restoration target for blocking incidents. Business provides 99.95% availability, asynchronous replication across two datacenters, an RPO of up to one hour, and two-hour intervention and four-hour restoration targets. Sérénité also provides 99.95% availability, with synchronous active/active replication and RPO 0.

Managed Kubernetes has separate availability levels of 99.5% for C1, 99.85% for C2 and 99.9% for C3. Multiple-datacenter operation therefore does not give every product the same contractual availability level.

ISO 27001, HDS healthcare-hosting certification and an ISAE 3402 control report support regulated and audited environments. Customers can request the applicable certificates to establish the scope relevant to their deployment.

The Pamiers expansion incorporates redundant power, backup generators and up to ten days of electrical autonomy, with a PUE range of 1.2–1.6. Its HDS v2 certification remained in progress during the expansion announcement, so completed certification should be confirmed for healthcare deployments.

"Adista secure cloud" entered the SecNumCloud assessment process through the J0 milestone in December 2025. This milestone begins the evaluation and does not constitute completed SecNumCloud qualification.

Environmental measures include free cooling at Maxéville, adiabatic cooling at Romans-sur-Isère, photovoltaic installations and rack-level energy monitoring. The Tours datacenter reuses a former refrigerated warehouse. Equipment reuse also forms a significant part of the infrastructure strategy, with approximately half of datacenter equipment coming from refurbished sources.

The telecommunications backbone has approximately 750 Gbps of Internet capacity, more than 1,400 interconnections and over 100 French points of presence, with connectivity reaching 100 Gbps at relevant network locations. Hybrid-cloud services also incorporate ten international PoPs. These capacities belong to the wider network and should not be interpreted as bandwidth allocations for individual hosting accounts.

The principal network is AS16347, associated with ADISTA and the Inherent name. Connectivity includes Arelion, Lumen and Hurricane Electric. Exchange participation includes AMS-IX, DE-CIX in Frankfurt and New York, France-IX in Paris and Marseille, LINX and Equinix Paris.

✍️ Customer Support

24/7 technical support is available across the managed cloud portfolio, with assistance provided in French. Intervention and restoration commitments depend on the selected product and service level.

Project assistance includes infrastructure assessment, network design, phased migration and validation before production cutover. Training can form part of the engagement, while regional teams provide additional proximity for organizations requiring project meetings or on-site intervention.

The principal technical-support number is +33 (0)3 83 98 89 30. Customers can also use stc@adista.fr and MyAdista. General commercial inquiries have a response target of less than 48 hours.

Domain services have separate channels: +33 (0)5 35 54 34 04 and support-ndd@adista.fr. Urgent domain requests can use +33 (0)5 57 26 44 49. Administrative matters go to adv@adista.fr, payment inquiries to recouvrement-adista@adista.fr, and public procurement requests to marches-publics@adista.fr.

Inherent Partners’ inquiry team is available at +33 (0)2 72 64 61 72, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. These commercial hours are separate from continuous cloud operations.

🔨 Control Panel

MyAdista remains a customer entry point for services and technical requests. Existing Waycom and Fingerprint portals also remain accessible during the brand transition.

vDatacenter provides centralized administration of virtual machines, networks and storage, with Viewer, Operator and Admin roles, consumption monitoring and APIs for automation through Terraform and Ansible. Dedicated Nutanix customers can retain access to Prism under joint-administration arrangements.

The Edge portal adds virtual-machine cloning, snapshots, backup schedules, ISO-library management and one-click disaster-recovery activation.

Partners use the unyc platform for eligibility checks, network administration, diagnostics and billing functions. The administration environment consequently depends on the service and purchasing channel, with infrastructure-oriented tools supporting the managed cloud portfolio.

🎯 Conclusion

Inherent is particularly well suited to French organizations requiring managed infrastructure, private cloud, healthcare hosting, disaster recovery or integrated connectivity and security. Its main advantages are its French operational presence, substantial datacenter footprint, network infrastructure and the ability to combine several technical disciplines within one provider.

The Partners portfolio also makes the group relevant to smaller businesses requiring managed VPS, website hosting or business email. Larger projects can develop toward dedicated clusters, hybrid cloud and managed application platforms.

The principal purchasing considerations are quotation-based pricing, French-language service delivery and differences between product guarantees. A meaningful comparison should establish the complete cost, deployment location, backup policy and division of administrative responsibilities. Inherent’s strongest fit is a customer seeking ongoing operational assistance and coordinated infrastructure management.
