📅 - Telecommunications and Web hosting provider Globix Corporation (globix.com) reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2004 last Friday, announcing "continued progress in its operations."
The company said its November 2003 acquisition of managed services provider Aptegrity had "furthered its transformation into a full service application, media and infrastructure services company." Globix also announced that it had reduced overall debt through the January sale of its property at 415 Greenwich Street in New York City. The sale netted nearly $50 million, which Globix said it would use to further reduce the company's overall debt. The company also repurchased an additional $7.0 million of its outstanding 11 percent senior notes during the first quarter of fiscal 2004. Globix reported that net loss for the quarter was $23.3 million, or $1.42 per share, based on 16,460,000 common shares outstanding at the end of the quarter.
