📅 - Q9 Networks Inc. (q9.com -> equinix.com), a Canadian provider of outsourced Internet infrastructure and related managed IT services, announced today that it has agreed to host VoiceIQ's new Web-based voice-to-text transcription software, Netscribe.
Q9 will provide a managed hosting solution consisting of data center space, high-availability bandwidth and firewall services. Netscribe provides courts, medical offices and legislative assemblies with the ability to capture, store and transcribe digital audio files in near real-time. Hosted from Q9's data centre in Toronto, the service was recently purchased by New Zealand and Australian government agencies. "Netscribe is being sold and used worldwide," says John Stewart, President, VoiceIQ. "As such, it requires Web infrastructure that can deliverconsistently high levels of availability. In our view, Q9 is the only provider able to meet our stringent requirements." Q9 has an extensive suite of customer care products, including a Web-based portal that provides complete visibility into customer equipment and Q9 services. All Q9 and customer systems are monitored from one of Q9's Network Operations Centres 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
