📅 - -- Content delivery operator Mirror Image Internet (mirror-image.com) has moved its corporate headquarters to the Highwood Office Park located in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Mirror Image, previously headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts, will be located on the first floor of the building. "We chose to move our main office to Highwood Office Park, as it provides us with state-of-the-art facilities for our expanding global network, our sales and customer service teams, our research and development operations, and our administration activities," says Timo Aittola, chief financial officer of Mirror Image Internet. Aittola says the lease terms give the company flexibility for further expansion.

The update, reports say, adds additional security tools to the platform, including some that were featured in Windows XP Service Pack 2, an upgrade to Microsoft's desktop operating system. One of the new security features is a tool that blocks all incoming traffic to a server until the most current updates are installed or when the administrator decides this is necessary. Content Management AG will customize the graphical user interface of CM4all WebsiteCreator for Cybernet and implement the software in its data centers. The company says the solution will become a core part of Cybernet's hosting services. Lawmakers called for the $1 million federal study, entitled "Signposts in Cyberspace," under a 1998 federal law, the Next Generation Internet Research Act. Passed near the advent of what became the Internet boom, it instructed the Commerce Department to seek a study about Web addresses and trademarks by the National Research Council and finish the report within nine months. Since January The Planet has deployed 16 TippintPoint appliances in its three data centers. The company says it chose to deploy TippingPoint's system because of its ability to block attacks at multi-gigabit speeds with no effective latency. Each appliance provides two GBps of throughput and latency similar to an ethernet switch. The TippingPoint Security Management System is used to monitor and manage the system.
