👈 Official Responses: 0) announced on Thursday it has acquired Australian hosting provider IntaServe (intaserve.com -> ventraip.com.au). IntaServe's managing director Amin Kroll will replace existing Hostway general manager Michael Farrell to lead its Australian operations.  This is the third local acquisition since the US company launched its Australian operations in 2003, previously acquiring GlobalHost and Dedicated Hosting. Kroll believes combining the two organizations was the most effective way to target the local hosting space.
 "Hostway has relied more on a direct model offering domain-based services to enterprises, whereas IntaServe's core business is mission-critical hosting for the SME market using a reseller model," says Kroll. "You have the resources of a global leader with the smarts of a fast growing local provider, so the two are a perfect fit."  The new agreement will allow IntaServe to operate as a parallel brand to Hostway, offering a range of hosting, domain-based and managed services through its 200-plus strong reseller base. With the added resources of Hostway, IntaServe can now pursue higher-end opportunities in enterprise and government.
