📅 April 2, 2001 - AT&T Canada Inc. (attcanada.ca), Canada's largest national competitive broadband business services provider and a leader in competitive local exchange, Internet and e-business services, announced the opening of its new Internet data center (IDC) in Montreal.

The AT&T Canada Internet data center service provides a secure and reliablefacility for hosting business web sites and server operations, or forsetting up operations for application service providers (ASP). With theopening of the Montreal IDC, AT&T Canada has a total of three IDCs acrossCanada, including Vancouver and Toronto.
AT&T Canada's IDCs are built as complete carrier-class data centerfacilities with full environmental controls, uninterruptible power, back-updiesel generators, controlled access, video surveillance, multiple broadbandfiber ring access, raised floors with anti-static tiles, two-stage, zonedfire/smoke/heat protection, high speed Internet connectivity and 24x7x365network monitoring.
