📅 - BorderWare Technologies Inc. (borderware.com) announced the launch of itsnew Security Server series, a high performance 1U rack mount platform forits security products.
Designed and manufactured in partnership with BSDi, the Security Serverseries delivers performance, reliability and scalability and provides theplatform for the BorderWare Firewall Server, Mail Gateway and DocumentGateway security products.
The Security Server is manufactured with selected components according toBorderWare products requirements, and is available initially in twoconfigurations. The R-1000 is designed for small to medium trafficenvironments, and features an Intel Celeron 600 Mhz processor, 128 MB RAM,20 GB hard disk and two Intel high-speed Ethernet interfaces. The R-2000 formore demanding environments comes with an Intel Pentium III 700 Mhzprocessor, 256 MB RAM, 2 20GB hard disks and three Intel high speed Ethernetinterfaces.
The R-3000, scheduled to be available later in the year, will featureadditional SCSI and RAID support for the most demanding network trafficenvironments.
All Security Servers will be delivered with pre-installed software toprovide true "plug and play" functionality. From unpacking the system tomaking the first connection to the Internet takes a only a few minutes.
