📅 October 12, 2005 - Content delivery provider Mirror Image Internet (mirror-image.com) announced on Tuesday that Museum of the Moving Image is using Mirror Image's Flash Video Streaming Service on a new Web site dedicated to enhancing interest in science and technology through the art of the moving image.

Museum of the Moving Image says it intends educate the public about the art, history, technique and technology of film, television and digital media and to analyze their influence on culture and society. The organization exhibits some of the nation's largest permanent collection of moving image artifacts, and holds film screenings, lectures, seminars and other education programs.

Mirror Image's Content Access Point network hosts and delivers of its Flash Video Streaming service, guaranteeing that visitors experience high-performance, reliable, uninterrupted streaming videos.

"No other museum is able to offer this type of content," says Carl Goodman, deputy director and director of digital media for Museum of the Moving Image. "Extensive resources are needed to do this, including Web server resources and staff. We are lucky that our relationship with Mirror Image allows us to offer such compelling, in-depth content at no risk to our network."
