📅 October 11, 2005 - Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Dotster (dotster.com ) said on Monday that it would partner with Akmin Technologies to provide a Web design service for its small business customers billed as Dotster We-Build.
Customers can purchase a custom-designed five-page Web site for $365, while a 10-page site costs $650. The prices do not include monthly Web hosting fees. The company will also offer a monthly maintenance service for $19, providing three hours of Web design services. Customers can maintain the sites themselves with Akmin's SiteGalore (sitegalore.com) Web site building solution. "The We-Build service eliminates any need for even the slightest bit of technical knowledge," says Erin O'Connell, senior marketing manager for premium managed services at Dotster. "Customers can easily upload content from text files or Microsoft Word documents, and the professional Web designers take the ball from there. Even businesses without any coding or design capabilities can have an effective, professional Web site live on the Internet in days."
