Aug 8, 2006 : IXEurope Acquires Second Data Center

📅 August 8, 2006 - UK-based data center service provider IXEurope (ixeurope.com) announced on Friday it has acquired a second data center in Paris, France to accommodate strong growth from enterprise, Internet and telecom customers.


The Paris data center, called the Paris2 IXDatacentre, will be IXEurope's 14th IXDatacentre in Europe, following recent announcements of expansion in the UK, Germany and Switzerland. This new acquisition is in addition to IXEurope building out a further 16,145 square feet at its existing site in Roissy, in the northeastern suburbs of Paris. Acquisition and capital expenditure costs for Paris2 will total £2.7 million.

With approximately 18,298 square feet of net space, the new IXDatacentre will provide further expansion for IXEurope in this growing market. Paris2 provides an excellent quality data center close to the center of Paris and once work has been completed to bring the facility up to IXEurope standards, the new IXDatacentre will be connected by redundant networks to the Roissy IXDatacentre providing a unique dual-site solution.
