Feb, 2002 : ISPA Names IXEurope Best Co-Location Provider

📅 February 18, 2002 - IXEurope (ixeurope.com), a provider of co-location andinfrastructure servicews, has been awarded the Internet Service ProvidersAssociation (ispa.org.uk) award for Best Co-Location Provider. The judging panel included executives from Cable & Wireless, Nokia, Energis, Easynet,LINX, XchangePoint and Nominet UK.

IXEurope was appraised on its performance, support, price, facilities andservice level agreement, after being short-listed along with five otherco-location providers. The judges cited that IXEurope stood out from theother nominees for its 99.999% SLA commitment and quality support services.
Founded in 1998, IXEurope has developed a network of data centers acrossEurope and has achieved recognition for providing quality services to itscustomer base now in excess of 150. The company has been ISO9002-approvedfor two years.
The ISPA awards are presented every year and have stringent judgingstandards. This year, market research company Durlacher, the broking,research, publishing and investment group, determined the five-strongshortlist for the Best Co-Location Provider award. The ceremony was attendedby over 300 representatives from the European Communications, Internet andApplications Sector and lead by a keynote speech from Douglas Alexander MP,British Minister of State for eCommerce, the first time he has addressed theISPA membership. "Many of the newspapers have painted an unreasonably bleakpicture of the industry over the last few months. But we have made, andcontinue to make, real progress towards becoming an information society andan information economy," he said.
