Oct 5, 2006 : Affinity Launches VPS Service

📅 October 5, 2006 - Web hosting provider Affinity Internet (affinity.com -> hostinger.com) announced on Wednesday it has launched its virtual private server solutions through its Web hosting brand Gate.com (gate.com -> hostway.com). The new VPS solutions couples the power and flexibility of a dedicated server, with the reduced cost and maintenance overhead of a shared hosting account.

Gate.com VPS solutions, available on both Linux and Windows platforms, start at $29.95 per month for 25GB of space and 1 Terabyte of data transfer, and does not require an annual commitment. All plans are fully virtualized environments with root access, powered by Virtuozzo and include the latest version of SWSoft's hosting control panel, Plesk.

"Our VPS solutions include everything a customer needs to host and manage multiple websites and applications," says John Enright, VP of sales and marketing for Affinity. "When combined with our state of the art facilities and high performance network, these solutions offer a stunning amount of power and flexibility at a lower cost than ever before."

To promote its new product line, Gate.com is offering one month of service free to all new VPS customers throughout October.
