Mar 4, 2009 : Web Host to Fund Clean Energy Project

📅 - Web hosting provider Online4earth.com (online4earth.com) announced on Wednesday it has pledged a portion of its proceeds to subsidize the cost of clean energy projects in Montana.

According to the press release, the web host strives to be an "active contributor to the green movement and help reduce carbon output."

Online4earth.com hopes to accomplish this by supporting various green initiatives, including a subsidized solar paneling project, the development of an eco-friendly ecommerce website, and the construction of an educational website that focuses on "creating environmental change without sacrificing personal gratification".

The company says it recently offset its carbon footprint by donating to reforestation projects in Kenya, as well as work with carbon management firm Carbonfootprint.com (carbonfootprint.com).

"We want to find ways to keep doing what we are doing - and create a win/win for the environment and consumers," says Mathew Lenning, director of business development for Online4earth.com. "We want our customers to know that by using our web hosting services they help the environment without reducing the quality of their experience, services or product. Customers sacrifice nothing in the name of environmental responsibility, and that's the way it should be."

FoundeOnline4earth.com provides web and email hosting, domain services, SSL certification and Internet marketing solutions.
