According to the company's Tuesday announcement, Cirrus Tech customers can choose from a number of built-in SharePoint site templates, such as a team work site, and customize it to fit their organization's needs. Clients can login to their SharePoint site through a web browser using a familiar web-based interface.
SharePoint Services 3.0 offers integration with Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel. Other benefits include collaborative tools for improving team productivity, document management, web-based application support and customization for specific workplaces.
Cirrus Tech Hosted Exchange plan starting at $12.95 per month now offer an advanced business class email service, and a robust collaborative tool in SharePoint without any upfront costs. Cirrus Tech also gives clients the option of purchasing just a SharePoint Services plan if they do not want to purchase a Hosted Exchange plan, starting at $9.99 per month for 500 MB of storage space.
Cirrus Tech announced its plans in October to expand its hosted offerings to include Hosted Exchange and SharePoint Services, which launched at the end of fall.
Tuesday's announcement follows a number of service upgrades in 2009 including adding control panel software Parallels Plesk Panel 9 to its dedicated server hosting plans. Also, less than a month ago, Cirrus Tech announced the availability of the Plesk 9 control panel on its Linux virtual private server hosting plans, after thorough testing.
