), a provider of Web hosting and domain registration services, has chosen Sphera's HostingDirector to automate its Web hosting operations and its reseller program. HostingDirector enables Jumpline to manage its resellers with added management, reporting and billing functionality with Sphera's ValueApps, across Jumpline's network of servers.

"With several thousand resellers, we needed a solution that would automatetedious administrative procedures while enabling better management of ourresellers through billing and reporting functionality," said Rick Barber,co- founder, Jumpline. "HostingDirector answered our needs, and it does sowith a cross-platform solution that manages resellers across our serverfarm."
"Sphera also gives us a new source of revenue with their ValueApps, morethan 40 applications our resellers and end-customers can self-provision,"added Barber. "Value-added services are critical to profitability with thereseller business model. Sphera's ValueApps are the right mix ofapplications, and self-provisioning reduces our support time, therebyenhancing our profitability." Sphera's ValueApps include DatabaseApplications like MySQL, E-Commerce applications like Miva, and general WebApplications like ColdFusion, allowing Web hosting providers to diversifyservice packages and upsell their customers to these services, the companysaid.
Sphera delivers advances in hosting resource utilization, front and back-endapplication extensibility and service provisioning. Sphera's end-user GUIinterface is brandable, letting resellers customize the look and feel andadd marketing messages to their end-customers. HostingDirector's four levelsof interface - for the Data Center manager, the Server Administrator, theReseller and the End-user - give users more control, and decreasing callcenter work load.
