📅 - Global communications firm AT&T (AT&T.com) said yesterday it would provide Hyatt Hotels Corporation with a set of managed hosting services to make it easier for leisure and business travelers to book accommodations, plan vacations and explore different Hyatt Hotels online.
Under terms of the three-year $1.2 million contract, AT&T will provide several business continuity services to Hyatt Hotels including managed firewall, managed intrusion detection, tape backup and restoration capabilities. "We found AT&T's technical expertise in critical areas like bandwidth and performance management to be compelling. And its portfolio of managed hosting services allowed us to choose options that will enable us to continue to focus on our core business, while offering our customers superior performance via Hyatt.com," said Joan Lowell, Vice President of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. The services will be used to maintain Hyatt.com, which receives more than 35 million hits per week. The Hyatt.com Web site is hosted in an AT&T Internet data center.

(ixsystems.net) and server management software developer Plesk Software (plesk.com) announced on Tuesday the debut of their joint Domain Migration Program. The program is designed to help hosting providers migrate their domains from Sun Cobalt appliances to iXsystems servers running the Plesk Server Administrator. 📅 - Viventures Employs KPNQwest Exchange Services - Pan-European data communications and hosting company KPNQwest (kpnqwest.com) announced on Thursday that it has deployed its Managed Exchange Services (MES) across three continents for venture capital management company Viventures Partners.
