Jun, 2002 : xwave, HP Open Enterprise Storage Center

📅 - Canadian IT services company xwave (http://www.xwave.com) announced on Tuesday that it has, with the help of HP, completed the creation of an Enterprise Storage Center, housed in xwave's 60,000-square-foot data center in Moncton, New Brunswick.

The center, says xwave, will be one of the only sites in Atlantic Canada to allow businesses to view, test and validate practices and concepts in utility-based enterprise data storage management.
Incorporating $1 million worth of storage area network technology provided by HP, the new facility officially opened on Tuesday.
Building on its relationship with HP, xwave also acknowledged that it is one of six companies to have achieved National Platinum status, the highest partner designation in Compaq Canada's Premier Partner Program, which rewards criteria such as support and HP-certified engineers.
"HP's National Platinum accreditation and SAN contribution to the xwave Enterprise Storage Centre help demonstrate to clients our expertise in HP products," says Bill Davis, xwave's vice president of fulfillment solutions. "With HP being one of our largest reseller partners, we want to ensure we provide clients with the very best support for the HP solutions we deliver."
xwave says its strategy of partnering with leading technology providers like HP allows the company to provide complete IT services, from strategic consulting to the provision of hardware and software. Among those services, says the company, is the data storage management to be provided by the enterprise storage center in Moncton.
