📅 June 26, 2002 - Enterprise solution provider divine Inc. (divine.com) announced on Tuesday that it is expanding its partnership with application infrastructure company BEA Systems Inc. (bea.com) by supporting the BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0 application infrastructure platform.

divine says it will use the WebLogic platform to deliver its suite of enterprise content, collaboration and customer interaction management solutions, designed to help customers deploy Web services-based extended enterprise initiatives.
"Maximizing productivity is crucial to unlocking the value of Web services. WebLogic Workshop offers divine a productive, standards-based method to deliver divine's application functionality through WebLogic Portal," says Robert Flannigan, chief technology officer, divine Software Services. "Building on the solid BEA application infrastructure platform we already have in place, Workshop enables us to expose our products as service-oriented controls, expanding the number of customers that can connect to and extend our products."
Integrating and uniting portal framework BEA WebLogic Server 7.0, application server WebLogic Server 7.0, portal framework WebLogic Portal 7.0 and Java development framework WebLogic Workshop 7.0, the BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0 is designed to provide customers with a single architecture for the development, integration and customization of enterprise software.
