Oct 1, 2002 : ZooLink Hires Ex-Group Telecom Manager

📅 October 1, 2002 - Internet data center developer ZooLink Communications Ltd. (zoolink.com) announced on Monday that it has appointed Group Telecom's former western channel manager, Pauline Skriver, as its VP of sales in Alberta.

ZooLink says it recently acquired a multi-million dollar data center in Calgary's downtown core in an effort to capitalize on the demand created by the growth of the Web hosting and managed services sectors. The data center, says ZooLink, will allow the company to provide customers with a full range of colocation and managed hosting services.
According to ZooLink, the data center is the first of a number of facilities planned for launch nationwide over the next two years. Spearheading ZooLink's data center growth initiative in Alberta will be one of the responsibilities assumed by Skriver.
"I believe Pauline is absolutely the right person to drive ZooLink's growth in Calgary," says Ali Shawkat, ZooLink's President and CEO. "Pauline is a seasoned veteran and very well respected in Calgary and we look forward to her capitalizing on her excellent relationships."
