Oct 2, 2002 : Equant, Packeteer sign Three-Year Deal

📅 October 2, 2002 - Global IP and data service provider Equant (equant.com) announced on Tuesday that it has signed a three-year deal with network application performance control developer Packeteer (packeteer.com).

Equant says it will provide services, including maintenance and logistics, to Packeteer's enterprise and service provider customers in 32 countries. The new integration services agreement, says Equant, will allow Packeteer more time and resources to focus on its core competencies.
Packeteer will use Equant's reach and customer service capabilities to manage global customer service requests. After receiving maintenance calls from its customers, Packeteer will diagnose problems and contact one of Equant's Global Customer Service Centers, which will dispatch replacement equipment and technicians.
"With Equant, our ability to support customers across the globe is greatly expanded," said Manny Freitas, Packeteer's vice president of operations. "By leveraging Equant's IS and logistics infrastructure, we get consistent service levels all over the world as well as a centralized, single point of contact for service. This is clearly added value to our customers."

(primustel.ca) announced on Wednesday that it has been chosen as the premier provider of Internet transit by London And Regional Global Network (LARG*net).
