Apr, 2003 : RackShack Unveils cPanel, Ensim Pro Packages

📅 - Texas-based dedicated Web hosting firm RackShack (rackshack.net) said today it would introduce hosting packages supporting cPanel, a popular Web-based hosting control panel, over the next 10 days.
"We will deploy cPanel as an additional item," Robert Marsh, RackShack's CEO and 'Head Surfer', told The Web Host Industry Review.
Later, Marsh unveiled the company's plans to several hundred users logged in to an IRC chatroom hosted by RackShack. He also said the company would continue to offer Ensim's WEBppliance 3.1 product at the current pricing through the end of the year, and that Ensim WEBppliance Pro, released by Ensim last week, would be made available as well.
"I am trying to provide the widest array of available hardware and software for you to run your business at the best possible price based upon our costs," he told the audience, which peaked at more than 500 concurrent users during the announcement.
In conjunction with the announcement, RackShack will be introducing a $99 special on cPanel servers. "We believe that this will be the lowest cPanel price-point in the market," he said.
Aside from introducing cPanel, the company also plans to unveil a Windows server package in May and managed services later in the summer. "We're pretty excited," Marsh said. "We believe the combination of these three items will definitely place us at the forefront of the industry as a whole."
RackShack is the dedicated hosting arm of Everyones Internet, a Texas-based ISP. RackShack currently hosts approximately 12,000 servers.
