Apr 9, 2003 : AT&T Expands Managed Hosting Services

📅 - Communications carrier AT&T (att.com) announced on Tuesday that it is expanding its ability to offer business and government agencies global managed hosting services by opening three new data centers in Europe and Asia, while enhancing customer support centers in the same areas.

The company says it is opening new facilities in China, France and Australia, bringing its total number of data centers to 21 across three continents, including 13 in the United States. Designed as part of AT&T's overall global network expansion effort, the new data centers complement existing facilities in the UK, the Netherlands and Japan, as well as its US facilities.
Enhancements to customer support centers in Europe and Asia build on the company's networking capabilities and investments, says AT&T, to offer globally consistent managed hosting services and predictable applications performance management.
"Europe and Asia are obviously key markets for global businesses with networking and applications needs," said Pat Traynor, AT&T hosting and managed services vice president. "We're directly responding to customers' requirements by providing globally consistent managed services and support -- an imperative for any business with worldwide applications and operations."
