📅 - Central Command (centralcommand.com), a provider of open source anti-virus solutions, announced today that European Web hosting provider WideXS (widexs.nl -> kpn.com) has selected Central Command's Vexira Antivirus for Mail server to protect over 60,000 customer domains from e-mail viruses, trojans and other malicious attacks.
According to the Medina, Ohio-based company, the choice of Vexira Antivirus was made on the basis of the technology's performance and the company's technical support services. "WideXS is one of the leading Web hosting companies in The Netherlands with over 60,000 customer domains under management," said Marjola Trebels-van Bolhuis, manager hosting services at WideXS. "Our email servers process hundreds of thousands of e-mails per day. It is important for our business to offer our customers the best possible anti-virus solution. Under extensive testing it was clear that Vexira Antivirus from Central Command is the best of breed antivirus solution for Linux based e-mail systems." WideXS is a subsidiary of ion-ip (ion-ip).
